President Akufo-Addo has appointed James Oppong-Boanuh as Acting Inspector-General of Police until a substantive one is appointed.
In the statement signed by the Communications Director, the then IGP, David Asante Apeatu has been granted a leave pending on his retirement from the Ghana Police Service.
In the statement signed by Eugene Arhin, today, reveals that President Akufo-Addo has directed the current IGP, David Asante Apeatu to hand over to Mr. Oppong-Boanuh with immediate effect.
The president also has send his appreciation to the former IGP for his service and dedication to the country.
